Learning Commons at the CBE
Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.
Our school takes an inquiry-based, hands on learning approach aimed at student success. In our learning commons, we take a whole school approach to building an involved learning community. The learning commons is the learning hub of physical and virtual collaboration. Students will learn through exploration, experimentation, and collaboration, in this shared environment.
Students are encouraged to use our learning commons for school projects and independent reading. Any lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the student to replace. If your child takes books home from our learning commons, encourage them to be responsible in handling them and returning them on time.
“The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library.”
Albert Einstein
