On June 21, Na’toosi (Grandfather Sun) will reach its highest point in our sky, marking the summer solstice - the longest day of the year. For many Indigenous communities, this is a sacred time of renewal, connection, and ceremony. On Friday, we are taking time as a school to learn in a good way about the meaning and importance of this day for all who live on Treaty 7 land. We hope it brings new insights and fosters deeper understanding and respect.
