Welcome Home to DGS

  • You are invited to our in-person session for all families who will be transitioning to Dr. George Stanley School for Fall of 2026.
  • DGS now welcomes all resident students of the Calgary Board of Education in Grade 6-9 who live in the communities of Cranston and Seton, and Grade 5 students who come from Cranston School for K-4.
  • The information session includes an introductory presentation, a meet and greet, a question and answer session for guardians, and an opportunity to tour the site.
  • We offer strong programming based on building conceptual understanding, critical thinking and key literacy and mathematics academic skills, as well as a widened array of quality Fine Arts, Athletics and CTF experiences.
  • Our Social and Emotional Learning for students is based on a combination of teaching communication and problem-solving skills and using restorative practices to create a strong school community.

Feeder School Visits and Middle School Transition

  • Transition meetings and visits to feeder schools will start in May
  • Tours of the school for feeder school classes are planned for late May 22, 2026
  • Individual tours can be booked for June 2026 (ideal for students who need a little more time- booking details will be published in June 2025)
