Dear DGS families
It has been an exciting week at Dr. George Stanley as our fall sports are now underway! We’re thrilled to see so many students coming out for tryouts in soccer and cross-country. The energy and enthusiasm in the gym and on the fields is fantastic, and we can’t wait to cheer on our student athletes as the season gets rolling.
Next week, we are looking forward to our Meet the Teacher evening. This is always a great opportunity to connect, learn more about your child’s school experience, and build community together. A stand-alone message with full details has already been sent, and the same information is also included below this message for easy reference.
Today we held our first fire drill of the school year. The weather could not have been better, and we were very impressed with how quickly and calmly students evacuated the school and lined up at our muster point. As always, teachers did an amazing job preparing their students. This was the first of six scheduled fire drills that will take place throughout the year to ensure everyone is familiar with our safety routines.
We’ll be sending out our first Subscribers’ Weekly message shortly. This message includes commercial content, such as information about Healthy Hunger, and is only sent to families who have subscribed. If you have not yet subscribed and wish to receive this content, please see the details included below.
Wishing you a great week ahead!
Respectfully,
Chris Keuben, Principal
